*     Keynote address by Dr. Renate Schulz:
     

  "Changing Perspectives in Foreign Language Education:  Where do we come from?
                                                                                         Where are we going?"

Dr. Schulz is professor of German Studies and a faculty member of SLAT, the interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching, at the University of Arizona.  She has published widely on the learning and teaching of foreign languages and has given over 150 presentations and workshops at professional conferences in the U.S. and abroad.  Most recently, Professor Schulz served as Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Universidad de las Américas in Puebla, Mexico during spring semester 2000 and as Program Director of the UA study program in Heidelberg during summer 2001.

There is no registration fee for this conference; however, in order to arrange for catering, you are asked to please PRE-REGISTER by 5:00pm on Thurs., Sept. 13.
